Agree barrel dimensions and polarity
Select actual 5.5 × 2.1mm or 5.5 × 2.5mm DC dimensions against the receiving interface. Confirm connector gender with that precise physical connection.
Agree polarity wiring across the selected barrel and open tail. Keep those details in the assembly drawing with the actual equipment being connected.
Choose the conductor and wire style
Select copper or tinned-copper conductor for the ordered lead. Retain the PVC construction with the actual selected cable.
Agree 2464-style or 2468-style 22AWG wire for that assembly. Keep the actual conductor arrangement and receiving-tail requirements attached to the chosen wire style.
Set the receiving tail and route
Confirm the open-tail dimensions needed by the receiving termination. Retain the actual wiring arrangement with that particular equipment connection.
