AWM3240 silicone-rubber wire and cable is presented as a flexible, flame-resistant electrical component for 12, 14, 16 or 18 AWG enquiries. The described wire has a round, stranded single core and a 600V rating. Tinned copper, pure copper or requested material choices can be specified.
Which AWM3240 conductor and insulation should be evaluated?
Give the required gauge, copper specification, conductor dimensions and finished silicone diameter. Individual strand-size choices span 0.1–3.0mm or custom; include strand count with the selected construction. The quotation, drawing and sample should identify one finished wire for the equipment connection being considered.
Define the flame requirement and its applicable evidence
Flame resistance is described together with temperature and oil resistance. State the test requirement needed by the project and request applicable VW-1 or FT-1 documentation for the chosen wire. Datasheets, test reports and quality-system audit reports are offered to support the construction review.
Choose the actual working conditions for that wire
Specify the complete working-temperature range, continuous duty, circuit load and surroundings. Include the route and connection space available inside the equipment. The selected conductor and insulation need to be assessed against those actual operating requirements with the requested AWM3240 construction.
