Serial ATA III/SATA 3.0 hard-disk data cable is described with a flat blue form, locking clip and maximum 6Gbps data speed for PC/server storage connections. PVC material and plug-in SATA interfaces accompany the cable. Select the finished length and connector arrangement for the actual storage installation.
Plan the drive and controller connection
Identify the hard disk, controller and required SATA mating interfaces. Record connector geometry, orientation and both receiving positions on the cable drawing. Keep the stated 6Gbps maximum with the selected link and equipment requirements, including any interface acceptance information required for that specific PC or server connection.
Retain the locking clip and flat blue construction
Specify clip engagement and access around the receiving connector. Show chassis clearance, cable routing and the required flat-cable path between the storage device and controller. Show the required cable-end dimensions on the approved drawing. Agree the PVC material role, completed cable geometry and both end constructions. Include actual operating-temperature limits with units, movement conditions and exposure.
Choose length and packing for the storage-cable schedule
