The copper-core YJV power-cable family includes armoured and non-armoured construction alternatives for building, engineering, railway and plant projects. Select a compatible cable designation and core/size specification together. Complete the required conductor, insulation, sheath and armour details on one approved drawing before finalizing the cable order.
Match the designation to its specification
Use the exact cable code required by the project and confirm that its accompanying core/size code describes the same construction. Keep conductor material and individual electrical duties with that selected configuration. A family designation and a differently coded size description should be reconciled before quantities or equipment connections are agreed.
Define PVC and XLPE layer roles
Identify the insulation and outer sheath separately on the full construction drawing. Confirm the PVC/XLPE assignments for the chosen cable rather than inferring the layers from a general family description. Use the approved material build to compare alternatives and review preparation for compatible cable ends.
Complete armour and declared voltage
Specify whether the selected build is non-armoured, steel-wire armoured or steel-tape armoured. Keep that requirement with the conductor allocation and termination design. Agree the declared operating voltage and the meaning and units of the selected core/size notation, using the actual cable specification for any current or temperature requirement.
Keep the physical order unambiguous
A 1M(3.28ft) physical-length option is available; state the required cut length independently of conductor-size codes. Include the approved designation, core allocation, full layer build and agreed armour-compatible ends with the final quantities. Review project-required declarations or approval documents for that selected construction, retaining the same cable drawing with installation information and equipment connection references.
