This Ethernet extender/coupler request joins two female RJ45 interfaces in an eight-position connection. ABS/copper construction, black or custom finish and featured shielded Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 requirements form the starting brief for the actual cable-to-cable network arrangement.
Match both female interfaces
Check the mating connectors on both cables and the space around the coupler. Agree the actual eight-position pinout and connector dimensions so the complete connection is specified for the intended network or laptop equipment.
Both ends should be described in the same coupling brief. This keeps the receiving interfaces and wiring relationship clear when the actual cable pair is selected.
Agree the shielding and category construction
Retain the featured shielded requirement while selecting the actual UTP, FTP or SFTP scope. Agree Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7 or Cat8 application requirements with the ABS/copper construction and black or custom finish for the supplied coupler.
Define custom connection requirements
Include any custom assembly requirements with the selected mating arrangement. Keep those requests associated with actual connector dimensions, pin assignment, finish and shielding rather than treating a general Ethernet application as a complete connection specification.
Review the complete equipment link
Match the actual cables, coupler and receiving equipment with documented data/link requirements. Retain both female interfaces, selected category/shield scope and actual network connection in the final brief so the extender is considered as part of the complete cable path.
