FOR OVERSEAS BUSINESS BUYERS
Send a cable enquiry that can be reviewed clearly
Include the product link or reference, selected configuration, quantity and delivery destination in your RFQ. Add a drawing or pinout where relevant. This keeps the technical request and the commercial discussion connected from the start.
Sample arrangements, minimum quantities, pricing, timing and delivery terms are confirmed for the actual enquiry and agreed quotation. This guide explains the information to prepare; it does not set one trading rule for every product.

YOUR RFQ PACK
Six items to send together
Product reference
Share the catalogue link or exact product reference. If you are comparing alternatives, list each one separately and explain the required difference.
Selected construction
Specify conductor, insulation, nominal size, core count and any sheath, shielding or armour requirement relevant to the build.
Connections and dimensions
Identify both mating ends, contact assignment, cable exit and finished length. Include units, measurement points and tolerance.
Quantity
State the quantity for the current request. If there are several sizes, colours or configurations, show the quantity for each.
Destination and timing
Provide the destination country and location, plus any requested delivery date. Distinguish your required date from a confirmed delivery commitment.
Drawing and documentation
Attach the relevant drawing revision, pinout, acceptance criteria and any mandatory document list. Tell us which items need confirmation.
FROM REQUEST TO AGREED REFERENCE
Keep the specification visible throughout the discussion
Describe the requirement
Start with the actual application and a catalogue reference, drawing or clear connection description. Highlight the details that are already fixed.
Resolve the configuration
Review open questions about construction, dimensions, interfaces and required documents. Keep a revision number with any drawing changes.
Review the quotation
Check the quoted configuration, quantity, price basis, any sample arrangement and the proposed delivery terms together.
Retain the confirmed record
Before order confirmation, ensure the agreed reference, drawing and commercial terms describe the same requested build.
Confirm the selected configuration
A product title can cover a family of options. A series image can also show a different core arrangement or connector orientation. Identify the selected configuration explicitly and ask about any mismatch before relying on the image as the order specification.
| For this product type | Keep these details in the request |
|---|---|
| Wire and bulk cable | Nominal size, conductor construction, insulation or sheath, cores, required ratings and supplied length. |
| Power cord assembly | Supply plug, equipment connection, selected cord construction, rating information and finished length. |
| DC or connector lead | Both connector dimensions, polarity or pinout, wire construction, exit direction and length. |
| Multi-branch assembly | Connection schedule, each branch length, conductor allocation and the controlling drawing revision. |
Check the rating for the selected build, including the offered conductor, insulation and complete assembly. A series maximum is not automatically the rating of every selectable variant. Ask for the exact variant's documented value and keep the required operating conditions in the RFQ.
Identify the drawing revision and, if applicable, the labelled reference sample that will be used for review. State what the sample or drawing is intended to confirm and list the agreed acceptance criteria. Request the exact documents needed for that configuration rather than assuming every family document covers every option.
The selection checklist covers the technical information in more detail.
Discuss samples, quantity and delivery for the actual request
Samples and minimum quantities
Tell us whether you need a sample and what it needs to demonstrate. Availability, sample cost, minimum quantity and any configuration conditions should be confirmed for the selected product. Do not treat an example quantity on another listing as the rule for your enquiry.
Commercial and delivery details
Review the quotation currency, price basis, payment arrangement, delivery destination, packing, transport responsibilities and the timing offered for the specific request. Any inspection, quality-claim or other order terms should be resolved in the agreed commercial record.
| Commercial detail | Question to settle for this enquiry |
|---|---|
| Sample or production shipment | State whether the request is for samples, a production order or both. Give the sample quantity separately from each production quantity and explain the sample-review purpose. Availability, charges and timing require confirmation. |
| Required date and offered timing | Give the destination country and location and the date you need the goods. Lead time and any offered dispatch or delivery timing are confirmed in the actual quotation and subsequent agreement; the requested date is not itself a commitment. |
| Delivery terms and charges | Ask which delivery terms apply, who arranges transport, and which freight or other delivery charges are included or excluded. Keep the quotation's cost basis and responsibilities explicit rather than assuming shipment is included. |
| Packing | Describe requested reels, drums, cut lengths or other packing, along with quantities per pack, identification, labelling or handling constraints relevant to the project. Availability and any effect on the quotation require review. |
If the design changes after a quotation, identify the change and request confirmation of its effect on the quoted specification and terms.
