TypeMulti-Core Power Cable
This three-core BTLY cable has a copper sheath and mineral insulation for emergency power applications. Copper is also specified for the conductors. Flexibility, fire resistance and a 0.6/1kV voltage rating form part of its product identity, with the final electrical duties supplied by the emergency circuit design.
Keep the copper-sheathed emergency build clearly identifiable
Describe the sheath and conductors separately on the cable construction drawing even though their stated metal is the same. Retain mineral insulation as its own layer requirement. This gives a cable comparison and termination review a precise material reference. An alternative BTLY designation should be assessed against that construction description, including the explicit copper sheath.
What should the three-conductor emergency allocation show?
The circuit drawing should assign a function, section and equipment connection to each conductor. Keep those requirements beside the three-core designation and proposed cable ends. Core count establishes the arrangement; the complete allocation explains the electrical configuration that the equipment connection design must accommodate.
Review the route through both flexible cable ends
Use installation instructions that apply to the chosen cable construction for bending and handling. Coordinate route access with the room required for sheath preparation and connections. Assess compatible terminations for the actual material layers shown on the approved drawing.
Complete emergency acceptance and order quantities
If a project specifies an IEC method, fire survival period or acceptance criterion, identify the exact conditions and review evidence for the selected build and installation. Confirm individual conductor sections for the three-core 50mm2 selection and provide physical cut length separately. Retain the copper-sheathed construction, approved allocation and cable-end requirements with the final emergency schedule.

Provide the product reference, selected configuration, quantity and destination. Confirm drawings, applicable ratings and acceptance requirements for the requested build. Lead time, shipping arrangements, charges and any return conditions should be reviewed in the agreed quotation before ordering.
